General
Great question, and the honest answer is it depends on where you are right now and what you want to feel more prepared for. Here's a simple way to think about it.Not sure where to start? You're welcome to schedule a free virtual consultation and we'll talk through it together — no pressure, no judgment.Book a free consultation → Free Virtual Consultation - 3rd Eye Watchingor take a look at some of these suggestions: Personal Safety Training is a wonderful place to begin if you want to feel more aware, more confident, and more prepared in everyday life — without any focus on firearms. It covers situational awareness, setting boundaries, de-escalation, and practical protective strategies. This is a great fit if you're newer to personal safety, rebuilding confidence, or simply want to understand your options better.Firearm Foundations is for people who want to learn about firearms safely and responsibly — whether you're considering ownership, just got your first firearm, or want to build stronger habits. We start with education, not the range.Responsible Carry Training is for people who are thinking about carrying a concealed firearm, already carry, or want to understand the full picture of what that responsibility involves — legally, practically, and ethically. We go well beyond "how to get a permit."Professional Development is designed for people working in or preparing for security roles, including security officers, those pursuing guard card or exposed-firearm certification (BSIS training), and professionals who want to keep growing.
Yes — and not just as a courtesy. This environment was built specifically with you in mind.3rd Eye Watching was founded by Nakita Price, a survivor of domestic violence and sexual assault, and a woman navigating disability. She created this space because she knew how many people needed safety education but didn't feel welcome in traditional firearms or self-defense settings. There's no judgment here. No pressure to already know things. No bravado. We go at your pace, we explain everything, and we meet you where you are — whether you have a disability, have never held a firearm, are rebuilding after a difficult experience, or are simply nervous about walking in the door. You belong here.
To take our CCW / responsible carry training, you'll need to meet these requirements:Be at least 21 years old (see the Utah exception below).Be a U.S. citizen, or a permanent resident alien with proper documentation.Own a legally registered firearm in your name.Provide your own gear: your firearm, 200 rounds of ammunition, and eye & ear protection. Range fees and targets are provided by your instructor.Multi-State CCW note: Our Multi-State CCW classes (Arizona and Utah) do not have a live-fire range requirement, so the 200 rounds and range gear above apply to live-fire courses, not the multi-state classroom training.Utah exception: Utah CCW allows those 18 - 20 years old to take the training, and they'll receive a provisional CCW license. For the Multi-State CCW Bundle (Arizona and Utah carry instruction), we include ink fingerprinting for both applications in the course. State application fees are separate, and eligibility is determined by the state agencies — we don't guarantee permit approval, but we make sure you're well-prepared.If you're newer to firearms, our Firearm Foundations courses are a strong foundation to build from first. And if you think you're ready but want to be sure, our Simulation Training Session lets us put your gun-handling skills to the test in a safe environment before you commit. If you're unsure whether you're ready, schedule a free virtual consultation Free Virtual Consultation - 3rd Eye Watching and we'll help you figure out the right next step.

Good question — we handle these differently, and here's why.Registering for a class or event is for scheduled training sessions with a set date and time (personal safety, firearm training, CCW, professional development). Classes are listed on our class calendar. You find the date that works for you, register, and pay to hold your spot. Registration opens the class; the spot is not held until payment is confirmed.[View class calendar → https://www.3rdeyewatching.com/class-schedule]Booking a service appointment is for one-on-one services — fingerprinting, FSC testing, firearm cleaning, and ammunition pickup. These don't have a fixed schedule; you pick an available appointment slot that fits your day during our weekend hours.[Book a service → https://www.3rdeyewatching.com/services]Submitting an inquiry is for group training, organizational requests, or custom training needs. These require a conversation first so we can understand what you need before scheduling anything. Use our contact or inquiry form rather than trying to book directly. Group Training Inquiry | 3rd Eye WatchingIf you're unsure which applies to what you're looking for, a free virtual consultation is always available.[Schedule a free consultation → https://www.3rdeyewatching.com/booking-calendar/free-virtual-consultation]
Yes — but this path starts with an inquiry, not a direct booking, because group and organizational training needs vary widely. We want to understand your goals, your group size, your context, and what you're hoping people walk away with before we put anything on the calendar. This applies to:Workplace or organizational safety trainingCommunity groupsCustom programs for specific teams or populationsBSIS-related professional training for organizationsHow to get started: Head to the group/organization page on our website and look for the pink "Request Group Training" button — click it to fill out the inquiry form. Tell us a little about what you're looking for, and we'll follow up to discuss the details and figure out the right approach together.
