What payment methods do you accept?
Due to rising third-party card processing fees when it comes to this industry which is considered "a high-risk industry" and California regulations impacting the firearms and training industry, we are no longer accepting card payments at this time.
For the time being, payments can only be made via:

Do you accept billing accounts for Live Scan Fingerprinting?
Yes, we accept DOJ & Certifix billing accounts.
We do not accept tokens
Do you offer Mobile Live Scan Fingerprinting?
Yes, for groups of at least 10 or more, by appointment. We will come to you and fingerprint your staff or organization's volunteers.
A travel fee (round trip mileage + time spent traveling to your location) will be charged based on how far our technicians have to travel to complete service.
How much do you charge for Live Scan?
For live scan fingerprinting services, we charge a $45.00 rolling fee per set of prints. In addition to our fees, clients will also be charged a DOJ/FBI fee, which varies depending on the level of service that is required by state officials to complete your requested background check.
Additional fees:
Copy fee of $1.00 per page if we have to make copies of your live scan form. Please bring 3 copies with you to your appointment.
What do I need to bring to get fingerprinted?
Clients need to bring the following with them to live scan appointments:
Valid State ID or Passport
3 copies of your Live Scan Request Form
Cash or Zelle to pay fees
If we have to make copies of your live scan form, we will charge $1.00 for each copy made.
Do you do Ink Fingerprints?
Yes, we provide ink fingerprint cards for anyone who is required to be fingerprinted for immigration or out of state purposes.
Our rolling fee is $45.00 per set of prints.
How can I book a class or service?
Booking a class or service is quick and easy.
Visit our website and go to the Monthly Schedule or Book Appointment page.
Select the class or service you’re interested in, then click the corresponding booking link to view available dates and times.
Once you choose your session, follow the prompts to complete your registration. You’ll receive a confirmation once your booking is successfully submitted.

Private & Group sessions are also available.
Range classes are typically during the week.

What classes do you offer?
We offer a comprehensive range of professional training classes, including select courses that incorporate live-fire range instruction. Our programs are thoughtfully designed to support diverse communities, with specialized sessions available for women, LGBTQ+ individuals, seniors, survivors of domestic violence, and students with disabilities.

Do I need prior experience or my own gun to take a class?
No experience is required. Our beginner-friendly classes are designed to help new students feel confident and at ease.
A firearm rental in (.22, .380, 9mm, or 40 caliber) is provided for our Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting & Range Refresher classes, so you don't need to own a firearm to take our classes.
What is the CCW certification process?
Our instructor is certified by the DOJ, BSIS, NRA & the state of Utah. Our CCW courses meet the State of California requirements.
Initial certification requires 16 hours of training
Renewals require 8 hours
All CCW applications are done on the Sheriff Department's website in the county of your residence. We do offer a CCW application & prep session class.
Some counties only accept training certificates from a "Preferred List" of instructors, so please check with your local county sheriff department before booking a class with us.
The Utah CCW class is 4 hours, and it does not have a range requirement.
Do you provide firearms or ammunition?
Yes, for our Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting class, we provide a firearm rental, 25 rounds of ammunition, eye & ear protection, and one target per student.
Students may bring their own firearms if they have them. Additional ammunition can be purchased.
Can I take the Firearm Safety Certificate (FSC) test here?
Yes. FSC testing is available by walk-in or appointment

Do you offer group or private sessions?
Yes. We provide private and group sessions; community partnerships tailored to your needs.
What range do you use?
We use local indoor & outdoor ranges depending on class size, range hours, and availability.
What's your cancellation policy?
Plans change; we get it! We kindly request that you notify us via text, voice mail or email of any changes to your appointment at least 24 hours before its scheduled start time.
All class and Live Scan fees are non-refundable. Appointments can be rescheduled or transferred to someone else up to 24 hours before your appointment time without penalty by sending an email to nakita_price@3rdeyewatching.com
Failure to cancel, no-show, or arriving late (15 minutes or more) can result in:
An additional charge of up to $25.00 for the inconvenience.
Refund Policy
No cash refunds will be issued for any reason.
Customers are responsible for shipping costs in the event of an exchange by mail.
Items purchased from our training room can be exchanged for a similar item of equal or lesser value, or store credit, within 14 days of purchase.
Pepper sprays cannot be exchanged once opened. It is the buyer's responsibility to know the state laws regarding the purchase or possession of any items from us.
Do you accept third-party ammo shipments?
Yes, we accept third-party ammo shipments. We are a licensed California Ammunition Vendor. We do not sell ammunition online.
What is the process for Ammo Shipments to your facility?
Requirements to send your shipment to us:
After ordering from your preferred retailer, please contact us by email with your name, contact info, tracking number, and a copy of your purchase receipt.

Ammo Shipment Acceptance Fees
$30 acceptance fee + $5 DOJ background check. 11% excise tax (Assembly Bill 28),
Law Enforcement & Peace Officers are exempt from paying excise tax with valid credentials
Discounted Rates (Ammo Shipments)
Our Students: $10 + $5 DOJ Fee
First Responders & Military (Active & Retired): $10 + $5 DOJ Fee (bring credentials)
General Public: $30 + $5 DOJ Fee
Background Checks
All ammunition transfers require a DOJ background check. You must be at least 21 years old & own a legally registered firearm for all ammunition shipments & purchases (CA LAW).
Standard background checks: $5.00 & if unsuccessful, Basic check: $19.00
Only the purchaser may pick up shipments. Name on shipping label & purchase receipt must match the ID of the person picking up.
We take these background checks seriously to ensure compliance with California regulations and to prioritize the safety of our customers and the community. By implementing this policy, we aim to prevent the unauthorized sale of ammunition and promote responsible firearm ownership within our state. Your shipment CAN NOT be picked up by ANYONE but YOU "the purchaser".
If you fail the ammunition background check, you will have 30 days to contact the DOJ to fix the problem, and you will incur storage fees at $10.00 per day.
FEES WILL NOT BE REFUNDED
⚠️If a straw purchase is suspected: We WILL NOT RELEASE your shipment to you; your information will be turned over to law enforcement for them to decide what happens next & your shipment will be donated to our training department.
Storage Policy: Pickup must be scheduled within 7 days of notification.
Grace period: On the 8th day after notification storage fees apply at $10 per day up to 45 days.
After 45 days, shipments are considered abandoned and donated to our training department.
Past-due storage fees must be paid in full plus a 12% billing fee before future shipments are accepted again.
