16 Hour Initial: Will attend BOTH days & 8 Hour Renewal: Students will ONLY attend Day 1
Day 1: BOTH INITIAL & RENEWAL STUDENTS NEED TO ATTEND 1st DAY.
We will start with the range qualification. After the range we will go back to the classroom. Students will learn reporting responsibilities, Firearm Safety, where you can and can't carry your firearm, how to conduct yourself during any contact with law enforcement, how many firearms you are allowed to carry, what your allowed to carry, potential disqualifiers, the law regarding the permissible use of a firearm, de-escalation techniques, levels of force, mental health & suicidal ideation training, written test, possible criminal & civil outcomes of using deadly force, importance of self-defense…

To pass this course and obtain certification, the student will need to complete the required course of fire with a minimum passing score set by your county Sheriff's Department. Students are allowed 2 tries at achieving a passing range qualification score. If a student fails BOTH qualification attempts, the student will be required to wait at least 48 hours AND pay additional instruction & range fees to attempt the range qualification again.
