About the event
Description: This state-required 16-hour course covers California firearm laws, safe handling, split-second threat assessment, mental health considerations, and a mandatory live-fire range qualification.
Student Provides: Personal operational firearm(s), holster, sturdy belt, 2 magazines (or 2 speed loaders), eye/ear protection, and 200 rounds of ammunition per firearm.
Qualification Rules: Students are allowed 2 attempts to pass the course of fire required by their local Sheriff's Department. Failing both attempts requires a 48-hour wait period and additional range/instruction fees to retry the qualification.
